If you’ve read some of my earlier articles, you know where I stand on weight loss- you need to change your diet and start exercising if you seriously want to lose weight.
Well, I stick to that.
But, there are people who simply can’t push themselves to exercise or change their diet.
That’s why I decided to write a few tips that can help you slim down (at least visually) if you don’t want to sweat or starve yourself.
So, how to lose weight without diet and exercise?
10 tips to lose weight without diet and exercise:
1. Have a healthy big breakfast
If you are trying to lose weight in a week it doesn’t mean you should skip the most important meal of the day.
No matter if you are on a diet regime or not, you should always have a healthy, big breakfast every morning.
Of course, that doesn’t include bacon, fries, and 10 pancakes.
Your breakfast should contain proteins and fiber that will help you control your appetite.
2. Drink lots of water
It’s easy to forget to hydrate your body, i.e. to drink the appropriate amount of water.
Dehydration causes water accumulation, especially around your belly.
There isn’t an easier, cheaper, and healthier way to lose a few pounds and feel better but to increase the intake of water.
Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water and you will notice that your appetite decreases, your metabolism speeds up, and you feel more energetic.
Drink a glass of water before and after your meals.
Water doesn’t have any calories so it will just help you eat less.
If you often overeat, that’s the reason why you gain weight, so try this method.
You will lose weight in a short while and the pounds you will lose won’t come back that easily.
3. Chew your food well
Chew every bite for at least 10 times before swallowing.
Your body needs to work overtime to digest the food in your stomach and bowels, which can lead to flatulence and gases.
When you swallow food fast you swallow extra air and that causes flatulence.
That’s the reason why you have piled up fat mostly around your belly.
4. Use probiotics
Probiotics contain useful bacteria that eases the process of digesting and prevents flatulence. (2)
To get optimal results it’s recommended to take that kind of bacteria in yogurt or supplements.
5. Forget about chewing gums
Believe it or not, chewing gums affect badly your stomach.
Chewing gums causes swallowing big amounts of air that accumulates in your body and causes flatulence.
If you want fresh breath, take a menthol candy.
Chewing gums might be a good exercise to get rid of face fat, but if you exaggerate your belly will look bigger than it really is.
6. Regular bowel movement
Overworking and a fast way of life are the reasons for an irregular bowel movement.
Many people need to make time for this during the day since they have busy schedules and according to them, more important things to do.
But, when you train your brain to ignore your body’s signals, you are heading to constipation and regular flatulence.
Eat food high in fiber and proteins, drink a lot of water, use probiotics.
When you are stressed, your body instinctively increases the production of cortisol, a stress hormone which negatively affects the digestion system and causes constipation.
Moreover, the stress hormone is to blame for the accumulation of fat layers around your belly.
Choose some relaxing activity to do at least 20 minutes every day instead of getting stressed.
8. Sleep well
Sleeping is important for weight loss and general well-being.
If you sleep less than 8 hours per night, the levels of cortisol increase and you are more likely to binge on unhealthy food during the day, which means gaining weight.
9. Use smaller plates
If you are anti-diets, but you want to lose weight, try this simple psychological trick- put food in smaller plates.
Your plate will look bigger and you will eat less food which is what you need.
Fool your brain and feel full with less food.
